norma-jean-adkinsNorma Jean Adkins, 54, of the Pleasant View Community, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

She was born on January 29, 1954 in Harlan County, to the late James Edward Simpson and Mary Magdalene (Miracle) Simpson. She was a member of Shepherd Chapel Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Adkins of Williamsburg; two sons, James David Sears (Shannon) and Harold Hensley (Tammy) of Corbin; two daughters, Lisa Fore (Troy) of Corbin and Diana Carroll of Williamsburg; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; two brothers, James Simpson of Corbin; two sisters, Sandi Kenne of Pensacola, FL and Sherry Elliott of Corbin; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
