Ralph Edward Adkins

Date:

Ralph Edward Adkins, born on February 27, 1962 in Jellico, TN, passed away on January 28, 2025.
He was a consummate outdoorsman with a deep love for the natural world. This love was most evident in his favorite pastimes, which included hunting, fishing, and scuba diving.
Ralph also had a keen interest in horse riding and 4-wheeling. As a man who enjoyed working with his hands, he could often be found tinkering with tools in his workshop or out in the field. As the American naturalist John Muir once said, “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks,” and Ralph sought and found much in his lifelong engagement with the outdoors.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 44 years, Reda Gail Adkins; his son, Eddie Jr.; and his daughter, LeAnn Smith, along with her husband, James. He will be remembered fondly by his grandchild, Ellie Smith. Ralph’s memory will also be cherished by his brother, Brian Adkins and his wife Ruby; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other family and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.A. Adkins; his mother, Mina Adkins; and his brother Darryl Adkins.
A visitation will be held at Croley Funeral Home, located at 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky, on Saturday, February 1, at 12:00 pm, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm.
Interment will take place at 3:30 at the Clearfork Baptist Church cemetery.
As Ralph was a man who greatly loved and was loved, we invite you to share your memories of him on his memorial page. Please upload any photos you may have, as each image and story shared will serve to further illuminate the rich tapestry of Ralph’s life.
