Retha Irene Rains, 74, of Lindenberg Drive, Williamsburg, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, April 20, 2018.
She was born on July 10, 1943 in Whitley County, to the late Edgar B. Lanham and Nevada (Ball) Lanham.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jo Lanham and brothers, Donald Lanham and James Lanham.
She was a member of Frankfort Baptist Church.
Retha is survived by her husband, Ronald Rains of Williamsburg; three sons, Bobby Rains (Annette) of Grove City, OH, Larry Rains (Virginia) of Herndon, VA and Kenneth Rains (Lisa) of Reynoldsburg, OH; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Lanham of Columbus, OH; sister-in-law, Barbara Lanham of New Carlisle, OH; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at Croley Funeral Home.
She will then be taken to Frankfort Baptist Church in Corbin and will lie-in-state at 12 Noon on Thursday.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Frankfort Baptist Church with Rev. James Hodge and Rev. Harold Long officiating.
Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Broyles Cemetery in Rockholds.
