Santaina Carter

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Santaina Carter, 32, born on February 28, 1993, in Knoxville, TN.
Renowned for her loving nature and vivacious spirit, Santaina was a beacon of hope and joy to many. She resided in Emlyn, Kentucky, where her boundless love and zest for life touched the hearts of many in the community.
Santaina was a dedicated and caring mother to her children, Lorenzo Carter, of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Brayden Hubbard, of Manchester, Kentucky, and Lola Hubbard, of Manchester, Kentucky who will forever cherish her memory.
She was the beloved daughter of Lisa Martinez and her husband, Jose of Emlyn, Kentucky; and the cherished sister of Chrystal Sands of Emlyn, Kentucky; brothers, Ricky Carter and Leslie Carter both of Williamsburg, Kentucky. Previous husband and friend, John Hubbard of Manchester, Kentucky. Her extended family, including several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, mourn her passing but also celebrate the joy and love she brought into their lives.
Santaina was preceded in death by her father, Virgil Carter; her grandfather, James Sands; grandmother, Grace Sands; and aunts, Brenda Sands, Cathy Carney and Joyce Sands; uncles, Billy Sands, Earl Sands and Tommy Sands.
The celebration of Santaina’s life will commence with a visitation at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 20, at Croley Funeral Home, 103 South 2nd Street, Williamsburg, Kentucky.
The funeral service will follow at the same location at 1:00 pm with Rev. Steve Sutton officiating.
Her body will then be laid to rest at Thomas Cemetery, Rockholds, Kentucky, at 2:00 pm.
Santaina’s life was a testament to the power of love and the strength of family bonds. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unquenchable spirit that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew her.
