Suspects who fled scene of deputy’s assault, taken into custody

The two men who fled the scene in north Corbin where a Laurel County Sheriff’s deputy was assaulted on October 1 are now in custody.

burks-for-webThirty-five-year-old Tony T. Burks was arrested last Wednesday during a routine traffic stop in Whitley County, while 36-year-old James W. Edwards was arrested Monday night in downtown London.
