Update: Subject of Whitley County Golden Alert located

Update: The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department and Whitley County E-911 have cancelled a Golden Alert that was issued Saturday for a missing Whitley County man.

The sheriff’s department reported Tuesday morning that Stephen Slusher had been located and is alright.

A Golden Alert D (Medication Required) has been issued for a missing Whitley County man.

Stephen Slusher, 26, has been missing Saturday, Aug. 21, at 1:15 p.m. and was last seen at a residence at 27 Childers Road in Williamsburg.

Slusher is described as a white 5’11” male weighing about 140 pounds. He has a light complexion, brown hair and blue eyes.

Slusher has a tattoo on his left arm, and a tattoo on his left wrist.

He was last seen wearing a royal blue T-shirt, light colored blue jeans, and Skechers slip-on shoes size 8.5 – 9.0. His T-shirt was oversized.

Anyone with information about Slusher’s whereabouts is asked to contact Whitley County E-911 at (606) 549-6017 or 911.

Whitley County Sheriff’s Deputy Joe Prewitt is investigating the case.
