Victim in civil right’s case allegedly tried to burn trooper’s home

A Whitley County man, who was reported beaten by two Kentucky State Police troopers in 2020, allegedly set fire to the home of one of the officers prior to the alleged assault. The man later pleaded guilty in Whitley Circuit Court to charges related to the arson incident, according to a News Journal review of court records.
