Whitley BOE discusses potential budget pitfalls

During Thursday’s special meeting, the Whitley County Board of Education presented Whitley East Elementary School teachers Cindy Hamblin, Vanessa Sizemore and Jessica Wilder with the September Above and Beyond Award.

If the Whitley County school district is forced to deal with a major cut in state funding this fiscal year due to the state budget shortfall, then it is in pretty good shape to handle it.
