Whitley Co. Grand Jury indicts eight people on drug charges

According to its monthly report and indictments, the Whitley County Grand Jury indicted eight people on drug related charges Monday, including:

  • Woodrow Lawson, 49, Nancy Sulfridge, 28, Stephen Barrett, 41, and Johnny Bryant, 48, all of Williamsburg – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Lawson was also indicted on a first-degree persistent felony offender charge with two prior felony convictions in Whitley County in connection with 2020 and 2017 cases.
  • Eddie D. West, 42, of Woodbine – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
  • Michael Lawson Jr., 32, of Williamsburg – two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (heroin and methamphetamine), second-degree possession of a controlled substance (Suboxone), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Eric Bowling, 47, of Corbin – first-degree possession of a controlled substance (Oxycodone).
  • Glennis Isaac, 49, of Williamsburg – first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and first-degree possession of a controlled substance (hydrocodone).
