Whitley County Health Department told to prioritize services

With health departments across the state facing financial insolvency because of an increase in required payments to the state’s pension system, the head of the Kentucky Department of Health is transforming the way local health departments operate with the goal of stretching their available dollars and targeting the most pressing health needs in the county they serve.
