Jason Wilson won the Whitley County Jailer race garnering 3,762 votes Tuesday night. He defeated Chuck Evans who received 2,254 votes.
Following the results, Wilson said he felt “overwhelmed” and thankful for the support from family, friends and voters.
“It’s very humbling when a county puts you in a position like this,” Wilson said.
Wilson said he hopes to continue the accomplishments already made at the jail and continue implementing new ideas and improvements moving forward.
