The Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) has elected Williamsburg Mayor Roddy Harrison to its Executive Board, the League’s governing body. Harrison last served on the Executive Board in 2008 and has been a dedicated member of the KLC Board of Directors since 2007 and Kentucky Bond Corporation, Development Corporation, and Funding Trust since 2013.
Additionally, he has served on the KLC Insurance Services Board of Trustees and KLC Insurance Agency Board. Mayor Harrison served as KLC president from 2015-2016. He has been the mayor of Williamsburg since 2004, following 11 years on the Williamsburg City Council.
“We are excited to welcome Mayor Harrison back to the KLC Executive Board,” said KLC Executive Director/CEO J.D. Chaney. “Roddy is one of the most beloved and respected leaders among Kentucky’s city officials. His extensive experience, genuine care for people, and unwavering commitment to his community have made him a true asset to the League and the cities we serve. We are grateful for his continued leadership and look forward to his contributions.”
Harrison expressed his gratitude and eagerness to continue serving Kentucky’s cities in his new role.
