Mary Francis King, 88, of Fostoria, Ohio passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at her home.
She was born July 8, 1935, in Valley Creek, TN to Hobert and Dovie (Nix) Longworth. She married Bill King in December of 1954, and he passed on April 12, 1979.
She is survived by daughter, Cheryl (Doug) “Buster” Overton of Fostoria; son; Tony (Barbara) King of Toledo; grandchildren, Chris and Billie Overton; great-granddaughter Cheyenne Haning; and a host nieces and nephews.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill King; siblings, James Longsworth, Eva Marlow, Evelyn Farmer who raised Mary; Rae Cobb, Tom Longsworth, Delphia Longsworth the #1 aunt.
Mary was a homemaker, former member of the Clairfield Baptist Church. She loved dancing, music and was a talented quilter and crocheter.
The family will receive friends from 11 am until 1 pm on Saturday, March 2, at the Harp Funeral Home Chapel
Funeral service will be at 1 pm on Saturday, March 2, at the Funeral Home with Rev. James “Jimbo” Bolton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kemplen Cemetery, Roses Creek.
Harp Funeral Home of Jellico in charge of arrangements.
