JUNIOR LEAGUE

The Corbin Junior League All-Stars didn’t make it easy on pitcher Ethan Wilson Wednesday night in their District Four win over Harlan, 2-0.

Corbin scored single runs in the third and sixth innings to take the win from Harlan. Corbin scored in the bottom of the third when Jaxon Stewart walked, stole second and scored on a RBI single by Drew Carter.

Then in the bottom of the sixth it was Carter drawing a walk. Carter stole second and third base then scored on a sacrifice bunt by Ryan VanNorstran.

Wilson pitched six and two-thirds innings for the win. He allowed two hits, walked four batters and struck out four. Conner Hicks got the save, striking out the last batter of the game.

Corbin is scheduled to play South London, a 15-12 winner over Tri-City. The game is scheduled for 8 p.m. at Corbin’s Don House Field.
