The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents David Higgs, Concert Organist, Sunday, October 3, 2010, 3:00 p.m. At First Baptist Church in London, Ky.
As one of America’s leading concert organists, David Higgs performs extensively throughout the United States and abroad. He has given the inaugural organ concert on many renowned instruments, performed with numerous ensembles, and recorded with several labels. Critics marvel at his sense of tempo, secure finger work and mastery of imaginative and tasteful organ registration.
 David Higgs is a native of New York City. He earned the Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at the Manhattan School of Music, and the Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music.
Mr. Higgs is Chair of the Organ Department at the Eastman School of Music. He enjoys performing, teaching, and adjudicating at festivals and competitions throughout the world. It is a privilege to have such an esteemed organist and respected performer in our series. Individual tickets for the show can be purchased for $25 at the door.
