George Maurice and Wanda Faye (Lay) Leach of Saxton, Ky. celebrated their 50th anniversary on May 16, 2010. The couple renewed their wedding vows at Clearfork Baptist Church with Rev. Horace Partin officiating and the attendance of the congregation. The couple was married May 13, 1960 in Miamiasburg, Ohio.
They were blessed with two sons, Ronald Leach of Williamsburg, Ky. and Jerry Leach of Saxton, Ky.; one daughter, Tina (Leach) Wright of Saxton, Ky.; and a special guest, Debbie Faulkner; four grandchildren, Melody Powers (our angel in Heaven), Jason and Kelli Wright of Lafayette, Ga., Joshua and wife Jessica Wright of Waleska, Ga. and Maegan and husband Mat Wagnon of Chatsworth, Ga.; six great-grandchildren, Cameron, Emma, Melody, Addison, Jack and Levi, our newest one due July 25, 2010.
Maurice is the son of the late Ottice and Bessie Leach of Saxton, Ky. and Wanda is the daughter of the late Arley and Nell Lay of Newcomb, Tenn.
Maurice is employed by Cox & Son Funeral Home of Jellico, Tenn. and Wanda is employed by Wal-mart Pharmacy in Williamsburg, Ky.
They were honored by a beautiful reception at Johnny Buckner’s restaurant in Jellico, Tenn.
The couple reside in Saxton, Ky.
