Lily man evades police for over an hour in stolen vehicle

Date:

A Lily man was on the run from Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputies for more than an hour after he allegedly drove a stolen car into a creek off of KY 552 in Lily.

Sheriff Fred Yaden said deputies and Kentucky State Police troopers searched the Lily area Tuesday night to find David Brannon, 22.

About 11:45 p.m., deputies Daryl Zanet and Rob Mitchell responded to the wreck, but noted the driver has abandoned the vehicle.
A check of the vehicle indicated it had been reported stolen earlier that night from a home on Reams Lane in London.

Brannon was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, fleeing or evading police, third-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
