Northbound I-75 reopened following truck crash

Date:

Northbound I-75 near Williamsburg was closed for four hours Thursday afternoon after a tractor-trailer truck lost its load and slid into a ditch.

Goldbug firefighters and Whitley County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the scene at the 14-mile marker where the flatbed tractor trailer went off the shoulder and into a ditch.

The load of machinery was dislodged from the trailer.

Traffic continued to flow, but the roadway was closed as a two truck worked to pull the truck from the ditch.

Officials with sheriff’s department said the roadway was reopened about 4:15 p.m.
