Jesse “Jack” William Walters, 88, of Corbin, passed away on Friday August 11, 2017 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

He was retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington, was a US Navy Veteran, and was a member of Living Waters Pentecostal Church in Gray.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Engle Walters; parents, Jess and Eva Walters, and Bob and Belle Walters;  sister, Myrtle Perkins; brothers, Bobby Walters and Chester Walters.

He is survived by his sisters, June Smith of Barbourville, and Georgia Ulreich of Hamilton, OH; cousin, Mascal Helton of Paint Hill; several nieces and nephews including special niece, Gena Robinson; and by a sister in law, Katherine Engle.

The funeral service was held Monday August 14, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Bro. Charlie Humfleet and Bro. Will Wyatt officiating.

Burial followed in Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin with military honors by American Legion Post #88 in Corbin.

Pall Bearers were David Helton, Dwayne Helton, Scott Barnett, Daniel Barnett, Caleb Robinson, Jacob Robinson, Noah Robinson, and Daniel Robinson.  Jack’s Sunday school class from Living Waters Pentecostal Church served as honorary pall bearers.
