David Charles Whittecar, age 77, of Brunswick, Ohio, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Cleveland Clinic in Brunswick, Ohio. He was born July 9, 1944 in Morencia, Michigan to the late Noah Charles and Frieda Anna Buehrer Whittecar. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann Alder Whittecar of Brunswick, Ohio; four children, Rhonda Petrey Collins (Steve), Rochelle Saunders (Robert), Rebecca Petrey Steele and Regina Whittecar; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Tina Whiteman, Pam Largent and Nancy Hoover; sister-in-law and brother-in-Law, Oneida and Jerry Taylor; sister-in-law, Mildred Perry; several nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Graveside service will be 2:00 pm Thursday August 19, 2021 at the Emlyn Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Mullins officiating. Interment will follow in the Emlyn Cemetery.
American Legion Post 88 Corbin, Ky. will conduct military honors at the graveside service.
There will be no visitation.
