Corbin Fire Department sends men to assist in Bowling Green

Corbin Fire Department sent five firefighters to Bowling Green Wednesday morning to help man fire stations to give local crews the opportunity to recuperate from the recent natural disaster.

Firefighters Trevor Allen, Mike Neal, Eric Philpot, Tommy McDaniel, and Tyler Tye are all members of Corbin’s Special Operations team, said Corbin Fire Chief Barry McDonald. They took the special operations trailer with equipment, such as a skid steer and generators, to help assist local departments.

Corbin Police Department Detective Robbie Hodge accompanied the firefighters on Wednesday.

The men are expected to help in the Bowling Green area until Friday and will return to Corbin on Saturday.
