Russell Wayne Johnson, 66, of Rockholds, KY., departed this life on December 25, 2021 at the Baptist Health-Corbin, in Corbin, KY. surrounded by family.
He was born to the late Fred and Estalene (Partin) Johnson on August 28, 1955 in Corbin, KY.
He is survived by his wife of over 46 years Betty (Skidmore) Johnson of Rockholds, KY, three daughters; Kimberly Wagers and husband David of Richmond, KY, Heather Minton and husband Ben of Corbin, KY, and Tracy Troglen and husband Frank of Corbin, KY, five grandchildren, Dustin Grubb, Darren Grubb, Dylan Minton, Eli Troglen and Erin Trogle; three great-grandchildren, Morgan O’Hara, Carson William Grubb, and Makenzie Grubb; three sisters, Barbara Steely and husband (Allan) of Williamsburg, KY, Brenda Hill and husband Donnie of Rockholds, KY, and Virginia Lambdin of Corbin, KY; two brothers, Roger Johnson and wife Joy of Hamilton, OH, and Randy Johnson and wife Brenda of Rockholds, KY; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 29, after 6:00 PM at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester officiating.
Private burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery off Hwy 779 in Rockholds, KY.
