Baptist Health Corbin medical staff offer academic scholarships to area healthcare students

Each year the Baptist Health Corbin medical staff offer scholarships to recognize and reward academic accomplishments of healthcare students.

This year 12 scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each will be awarded in July to students accepted into or currently enrolled in an accredited program in selected health care fields.

Students must be a resident of the Tri-County area, i.e., Knox, Laurel or Whitley counties.

“These scholarships are awarded to students from the Tri County area in order to keep our greatest resources close to home,” said Medical Director David Worthy, MD.

Baptist Health Corbin is a 273-bed, acute care facility providing a wide variety of healthcare services to residents of Whitley, Knox, Laurel, Bell, Harlan, Clay, McCreary counties in Kentucky and Campbell County in Tennessee.
