Donald Wayne Rush

Donald Wayne Rush, 67, the husband of Linda Webb Rush of Somerset Road, London, passed away on Saturday evening at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon in the Laurel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Rose and Bro. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rush Family Cemetery in London.

Beulah Raye Moore Cassidy

Beulah Raye Moore Cassidy, 90, born September 12, 1926, in Lily, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at her residence in Corbin, surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Jones Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband of forty years, Rufus “Bud” Cassidy; and her siblings: brother, Frank Moore, sisters: Delia Nolan, Rotha Smith, Sarah Smith, Gladys Steele Lloyd, and Wanda Cassidy. Elbert Clayton Harris, 78, of Craig Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington. He was born on March 5, 1939 in Williamsburg, to the late James Emmit Harris and Nola Seymore Harris. Billy Joe Centers, 70, of Williamsburg, formerly of the Little Wolf Creek community of Whitley County, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was born in Whitley County, on December 6, 1946 to the late Ernest Centers, Sr. and Delores (Cook) Centers. He was a retired 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force. Clora Lela Murphy, 92, of 11th Street, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Baptist Health in Corbin. She was born on April 7, 1925 in Williamsburg, to Charlie Cox and Nannie Allen Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Nannie Cox; husband, Lester Murphy; and grandson, Chad Allen Murphy. She taught Sunday School for over 60 years. Arthur Leland Lockaby, Sr.

Leland Lockaby, 81, of Corbin passed away May 8, 2017, in Lexington, from congestive heart failure. He is survived by his wife, Naomi Sue Lockaby; two daughters: Geri (Lance) Gaudet and Jennifer (Brent) Freeman; son, Arthur (Shanda) Lockaby II; nine grandchildren: Chris, Stacie, Derek, and Ryan Amburgey; Lance, Morgan, and Nikki Freeman; Jordan and Lauren Lockaby; and sister, Glenna (Roscoe) Roark. Leland was the founder of Corbin Garage Doors, Inc., which he and his wife began in 1976. Jerry Boggs, 62, of Corbin passed away Monday, May 8, 2017, at Baptist Health Lexington. Born August 23, 1954, he was the son of the late Robert and Mae Boggs. He was a member of New Hope Ministries Church of God.  A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he especially enjoyed spending quality time with his grandbabies.  A man with a true servant’s heart, he found joy in helping others.  He also enjoyed fishing and showing his restored 1968 Mustang at car shows.
