Charles “Charlie” Emry Perkins, age 82 of Williamsburg, KY, gained his Heavenly wings Saturday, December 25, 2021 at his home.
He was born June 5, 1939 in Whitley County, KY to the late Robert “Pete” and Viola Ethel Alsip Perkins. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Kelsey Perkins; one uncle, Bill; one aunt, Francis; three brothers, Delmer, Clearence, and Lincoln; four sisters, Lou, Nan, Cleda and Ella; and one daughter-in-law, Margie “Cricket” Perkins.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 year, Dessie Alene Meadors Perkins; five boys, Ernest Perkins, Bill Perkins (Shelia), Walter Perkins (Carol), Andrew Perkins (Nikki), and Matthew Perkins (Rhonda); 46 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Robert Perkins (Mary); one sister, Della Meadors; special nephew, Les Jones; daughter-in-law, Tracy Brooks; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Church of God with Rev. Roger Meadors officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Tuesday, December 28, at Pleasant Hill Church of God and 10:00 am until the funeral hour Wednesday, December 29, at Pleasant Hill Church of God.
