Mr. and Mrs. Rodney D. Collett are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Kelsey Jordan, to Mr. Bobby Whayne Gibbs, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell E. Gibbs of Corbin.
Kelsey is the granddaughter of James V. Adams and the late Kay G. Adams, the late Vesta J. Collett and the late Vernon L. Collett.
Bobby is the grandson of the late N.G. Gibbs and the late Captola Gibbs, the late Melvin C. Hart, the late Eileen Yates and Glen D. Yates.
Kelsey is a 2005 graduate of Bell County High School and will graduate in December from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
Bobby is a 2001 graduate of Whitley County High School and a 2005 graduate of Wofford College. He is currently employed by the Whitley County Board of Education.
Kelsey and Bobby will be married on Saturday, Dec. 12 at First Baptist Church in Middlesboro, making them the third generation of Kelsey’s family to exchange wedding vows there. After their honeymoon in the Florida Keys, the couple will reside in Corbin.
