Communist group planning rally in Corbin in opposition of HB5, local landlords

Members of the Kentucky branch of the Progressive Labor Party (PLP), a self-proclaimed communist organization, have announced that they are planning a rally in downtown Corbin later this month to voice concerns over recently passed state legislation that they say is harmful to those who are homeless and experiencing housing insecurity. They have also taken aim at a pair of local landlords, claiming that their business practices are contributing to the ongoing housing crisis in the region.
