Corbin man arrested at his Gordon Hill home on drug charges

A Corbin man is facing numerous drug charges after he allegedly sold a police informant prescription narcotics Tuesday.

Herbert Norman Mims, 61, has been charged by Corbin Police with drug trafficking, two counts of drug possession, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a raid on his Gordon Hill home Tuesday.

Authorities used a confidential informant to buy prescription controlled narcotics from Mims at his home. Soon after, police obtained a search warrant for the house. Once inside they found and seized Schedule I and Schedule III prescription controlled narcotics (painkillers), marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Mims was arrested without incident and the investigation is continuing by Corbin K-9 Officer Coy Wilson.

Wilson was assisted at the scene by Capt. Rob Jones, Sgt. Glenn Taylor Jr., Ptl. Kirk Mays, Ptl. Jeff Hill and Ptl. John Hill.
