Dewey Lee Brown, age 75, of North Highway 25-W, Jellico, Tennessee departed this life on Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

Dewey was born on July 2, 1945 in Siler, Kentucky to the late Ellis and Nola (Baldwin) Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Sharpe.  Dewey was a charter member of Highland Park Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary “Sue” (Creekmore) Brown of Jellico, Tennessee; two stepsons, Timothy Lee Brown and Dr. James Edward Prewitt (Daphany) of Arlington, Virginia; aunt, Geneva Prewitt of Williamsburg; uncle, Damon Brown of Williamsburg; two nephews, Jeff Sharpe (Missy) and Michael Sharpe (Regina) of Williamsburg; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service was held Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Doyle Lester and Rev. Ryan Bailey officiating.  Burial will be private.
