Extension Office presenting Farm Field Day August 29

The Whitley County Cooperative Extension Office will host its annual Farm Field Day on Friday, Aug. 29 at the Whitley County Fairgrounds located at 860 Savoy-Clear Creek Road in Williamsburg.

The event will start at 9 a.m. and will run until 1 p.m. It is free to attend and open to anyone interested in participating.

The event is a rain-or-shine event, so be sure to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.

Activities during the event will include farm safety demonstrations, equipment showcases, educational booths, and a Hunter Education Range Day. Visitors can also enjoy hands-on activities, animal encounters, and fresh-from-the-field experiences. There will also be door prizes available and a complimentary lunch provided.

Organizers say the event offers something for everyone, whether you are a local farmer, a student, or simply looking for a fun day outdoors.
