Frieda Edme Cornelius

Date:

It is with loving hearts that we mourn the loss of a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Frieda Edme Cornelius, 89, who peacefully left us on September 14th, 2025.
Frieda was born on January 8th, 1936 in Williamsburg, Ohio, to John and Goldie Cuneo.
She later made her home in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where she spent her life spreading love and joy to everyone she met.
Frieda, a humble woman, dedicated her life to her family and her garden. Her love for flowers and gardening was only surpassed by her love for her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
As the saying goes, “To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow,” and Frieda instilled this belief in her family, nurturing them to grow and flourish just like her beautiful flowers. Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the sweet smell of blossoming flowers.
Frieda is survived by her loving children, Brenda Hill and husband Robert of Spring Hill, Florida, Cutis Cornelius of Williamsburg, Kentucky, Charles Cornelius of Williamsburg, Kentucky, and A. Blaine Cornelius of Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was a cherished grandmother to Angel Kelley (Joseph), Mitchell Sehulz, Justin Nantz, Joshua Nantz, Amanda Butler, Richard Hill, Dylan Hill, Jessica Smith, Kaitlyn Smith, Andrew Cornelius, Brittany Cornelius, Casey Cornelius, Daniel Cornelius, Angel Cornelius, Ana Cornelius, Michael Cornelius, Emily Picerno, Ashely Trant, Zachary Sheridan, Ryan Hill, and Sheila Gillespie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Sr., and her dear children, Sandra Cornelius, Nancy Cornelius, William Cornelius, Pamula Cornelius, and Darlene Jolly.
Frieda’s memory will live on in the hearts of her numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral service was Saturday, September 20, at Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Carpenter officiating. Graveside service followed at Emlyn Cemetery.
We encourage all who knew and loved Frieda to join us in celebrating her life and cherishing the wonderful memories she left behind. Please honor her memory by sharing your stories, photos, and moments of Frieda on her memorial page.
As we say goodbye to our dear Frieda, we take comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will continue to bloom in our hearts, just like the flowers in her garden.
