Irene Perkins Smith

Irene Perkins Smith, 85, formerly of Williamsburg, departed this life on January 20, 2017 in Green Township, OH.

She was born on July 18, 1931 in Whitley County, to the late Millard Perkins and Pearl (Meadors) Perkins.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Thomas Smith Jr.

She is survived by her children, Jerry (Becky) Smith, Diane (Bruce) Horton and Jill (Brian) Donnellan; her grandchildren, Andy, Nathan, Matthew, Zach, Adam, Will Kris, Doug, Andrew and Nick; twelve great-grandchildren; her siblings, Retha Walter, Wilma Baird, Bill Perkins, Archie Perkins, Roy Perkins, Kathy Hoffman and Pat Bordes; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 23, at the Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home in Cincinnati, OH.

Visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour of 12 a.m. on Wednesday, January 25, at Croley Funeral Home in Williamsburg.

She will be laid to rest in the Davis Addition of Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
