Joyce Fay Witt Neely, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 15, 2023.
She was born May 8, 1943 in Jellico, TN, to the late Thurston and Ivery Flossie Lewis Witt.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Ann Witt Patterson; and a stepdaughter, Tracie L. Neely.
Joyce was a proud and grateful member of Frankfort Missionary Baptist Church in Corbin, KY, where she was honored to be a W. O. G. (Woman of God). She was also a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post #88 in Corbin, KY.
She is survived by her loving husband, John Lloyd Neely; daughters, Lisa M. (Mike) Moyer of Morristown, TN, and Tonya R. (Jason) McCullah of Whitley County, KY; stepsons, John L. Neely II of Akron, OH, and Frank L. (Eufama) Neely of Akron, OH; stepdaughters, Deborah L. (Gary) Helm of Houston, TX, and Patricia L. Neely of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Sara, Isaac, and Jesse; great-grandchildren, Kyley, Dylan, Ella, Ansley, Piper, and Brinley; a special niece, Deanna Wilson; nephew, John Patterson; several cousins; and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hodge officiating.
Interment will be in Whitley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, at the funeral home.
