Pool Party: The kiddy pool structure at Kentucky Splash Waterpark is finally under construction after operating all summer without one. The previous structure was taken down earlier this year due to safety concerns and the new one was initially anticipated to be installed before the park opened for the season, though multiple delays continued to push it farther into the summer. Work began on the new structure last week, when a large portion of the structure had already been erected. Williamsburg Mayor Roddy Harrison said the work would likely be finalized sometime this week, but it cannot be used until the proper permits are approved. Harrison noted that he believes the permits will come through before the park closes for the season, but doesn’t know for sure.
