Knox deputies investigating suspicious person finds drugs

A Gray man found passed out in a vehicle in front of the Dollar General Store in Corbin Wednesday night had marijuana and methamphetamine in his possession, according to police.

drugs-for-webKnox County Sheriff Mike Smith said Deputy Sidney Wagner was called to the store on U.S. 25E about 9:10 p.m. in response to a complaint of a man passed out in a vehicle.

After the man became responsive, Wagner conducted an investigation, determining the individual, identified as 45-year-old Charles Tuttle, was under the influence of drugs.

Wagner reported recovering seven small plastic baggies of marijuana, a larger plastic baggie containing three ounces of marijuana, and five small plastic baggies containing suspected crystal methamphetamine.

Tuttle was charged with public intoxication – controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
