It was a showdown between 13th Region volleyball rivals Corbin and Whitley County Tuesday night inside Corbin High School’s Gilliam Gymnasium, and in the end, the home team was able to walk away with a 3-0 victory.
Each set was competitve between the Lady Hounds and the Lady Colonels, but Corbin was able to top Whitley three straight times to secure one of their biggest wins of the 2015 season. Scores for each individual set were 25-17, 25-18 and 33-31.
The Lady Hounds will be hosting another home game later this week when they welcome in Jackson County on Thuursday evening, September 17. The Lady Colonels will now attempt to regroup and prepare for their annual First Priority Classic, which they will be hosting this Friday and Saturday, September 18-19, at Whitley County High School.
