Laurel County Sheriff John Root reminds residents of home monitoring service

Date:

With area schools spring breaks coming up, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department is reminding residents of its home monitoring service.

“If citizens will be out of town, contact our office to schedule our deputies to drive by and check on your home while you are out of town,” said Sheriff John Root in a press release. “We patrol all roads, but will make an extra sweep by your home while you are away.”

Residents may call the sheriff’s office at (606) 864-6600, send a direct message on the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page or email g.acciardo@laurelcountysheriff.com.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, who coordinates the program, said residents should include the address along with the date that you are leaving and the date of your return.
