Lawrence O. Bunch, age 76 of Williamsburg, KY, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
He was born April 5, 1946 in Whitley County, KY to the late Rev. Albert and Hazel June Martin Bunch.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Edward Bunch, Carl Bunch, and Albert Bunch; and one sister, Ruth Laudermilk.
Lawrence was a teacher in the Whitley County School System for several years. He also taught drafting at the Laurel County Vocational School. He later became a professor and guidance counselor at Somerset Community College in London, KY.
Lawrence was a veteran having served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After leaving active duty he served many years in the United States Army Reserves.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Anna Bunch; special brothers-in-law, Charles W. Davis, and Kenneth Laudermilk; two nephews, David Bunch, and Paul Bunch; niece, Carol Meholick; and several friends and family to mourn his passing.
Funeral service was Saturday, September 3, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harold Long officiating.
Interment was in Emlyn Cemetery.
Williamsburg Masonic Lodge #490 F&AM conducted the Masonic Rights prior to the funeral service. American Legion Post 88 Corbin, KY conducted military graveside honors.
