Whitley County Water District will be accepting sealed bids on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 4-wheel drive truck. Bids will be accepted at our office, located at 19 S Hwy 25W in Williamsburg, Kentucky, until 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.  Truck will be sold “as is”.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

SOLICITATION OF FUEL VENDORS

Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency, Inc. announces that Coal, Wood, Propane, Fuel Oil and Kerosene Vendors are being solicited to provide home heating fuel in the SUBSIDY and CRISIS Components of the 2022-2023 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program in Bell and Whitley Counties.

The Subsidy Component will begin November 7th, 2022 and will end December 16th, 2022.  The Crisis Component will begin on January 9th, 2023 and will end March 31st, 2023 or until funds are expended.

Interested Vendors may pick up a Vendor Packet at the Bell-Whitley Office at 129 Pine Street, Pineville, KY or 215 N. 4th Street, Williamsburg, KY. Clients will select vendors from an Approved Vendor List.

The Bell-Whitley Office must receive all vendor information and fuel quotes no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 14th 2022.

Minority and disadvantaged business owners are encouraged to apply.

PUBLIC NOTICE:

The Brick Oven Restaurant, 403 Main Street, Williamsburg, KY is applying for an Event License for an event in which alcoholic beverages would be served and contained during the River Fog Festival located at 301 Main Street in Williamsburg, KY to be held on October 1, 2022 from the Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

 

PROPERTY TAX NOTICE

The 2022 Whitley County Property Tax will be due and payable beginning October 1, 2022.  If you do not receive your bill in the next few days, please contact the Whitley County Sheriff’s Office. When mailing in your payment, please include a copy of the tax bill. If you wish to have a paid receipt returned to you, please enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope. The following dates will be the collection dates for Property tax bills:

2022 TAX COLLECTION SCHEDULE

2% Discount If Paid from October 1, 2022 – November 1, 2022

Face Amount if paid from November 2, 2022 – December 31, 2022

5% Penalty if paid from January 1, 2023 – January 31, 2023

21% Penalty if paid from February 1, 2023 – April 15, 2023

All Property tax bills that are not paid will be turned over as delinquent if not paid by April 15, 2023.

The Corbin Independent Board of Education will receive sealed bids for the Corbin High School Football Stadium Renovation, BG# 23-077.  Bids will be received online in the Lynn Imaging Plan Room. Hand Delivered or mailed paper bids will no longer be accepted. Instructions to submit bids online will be provided via addenda to all registered plan holders. Bids must be received by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time, October 20, 2022. Bidders will be provided with a link and login information to allow their office or representative to log in and join a teleconference where each bid will be read aloud in accordance with the open meeting bidding requirements.

Printed Plans and Specifications may be purchased from Lynn Imaging, 328 East Vine Street, Lexington, Kentucky, 40507, (800) 888-0693. The printing cost shall be paid to Lynn Imaging. If documents are to be shipped, a non-refundable shipping charge is required and is to be paid directly to Lynn Imaging.

The Form of Proposal must be requested and obtained from the Construction Manager, Hacker Brothers, Inc., 116 East 4th Street, London, Kentucky 40741, (606) 877-2029, fax (606) 877-2041.  It shall be the responsibility of the bidder to determine which Bid Package or Packages the bidder desires to bid.  Bidder shall notify C.M. of Package or Packages that he intends to bid.

All bids shall be submitted only on the Form of Proposal prepared by Hacker Brothers, Inc.

Each proposal over $ 25,000.00 shall be accompanied by bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of each proposal submitted.  Acceptable bid security shall be fully executed bid bond (AIA A310) or certified check made payable to the Corbin Independent Board of Education.

In the event the Bidder to whom contract is awarded fails to execute a Contract along with satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his bid security to the Owner as recompense for such failure.

Proposal Forms must be properly completed.  Only one (1) copy of each Form of Proposal including all supplemental forms is required.  No modification, qualification letters or statements will be considered.  Such shall be cause for rejection of bid.  No bid shall be modified, withdrawn, or cancelled by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for receipt of bids and bidder agrees in submitting his bid.

Hacker Brothers, Inc. is the Construction Manager for this Project, acting as agent for the Owner, and acting in the Owner’s behalf in soliciting proposals.  The Owner reserves the right, when in their best interest, to accept and or reject any and all proposals and waive any informality in doing so.  Each successful bidder will execute a contract directly with the Owner and not with the Construction Manager.

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held October 6, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. This meeting will be the at the existing concession building at the project site, 410 Barbourville Street, Corbin, KY 40701
