Lislie “Corky” Patterson, 96, of Adkins Street, Corbin, departed this life on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Baptist Health in Corbin.

He was born on January 6, 1922 in Bush, to the late Dee Patterson and Susan (Chestnut) Patterson.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 69 years Pauline Patterson on March 16, 2012 and his brothers, Layton and Leslie Patterson.
Corky was a member of Bacon Creek Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Whayne Supply where he retired on May 1, 1992 after 25 years of service and a former employee of Central Automotive in Corbin.

He is survived by two daughters, Judith Satterfield (Bobby) and Joyce Elliott (Jerry) of Corbin; grandchildren, Sonya Clabaugh (Tim) of Corbin, Rob Satterfield (Ami) of Moses Lake Washington, Angie Satterfield of Corbin and Kevin Smiddy (Tiffany) of Corbin who he considered a grandson; great-grandchildren, William Guy Reed III of Corbin, Jerry Keith Reed of Richmond, Erika Brittany Satterfield of Corbin and Brandon and Charlie Satterfield of Moses Lake, Washington; two step-great grandchildren Nathan Clabaugh of Richmond and Abby Clabaugh of Corbin; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the Bacon Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Darvin Wells officiating.

Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
