Marjorie “Punk” Rains

Marjorie Burnette “Punk” Rains, age 85, passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. She was born April 24, 1936 in Williamsburg, KY to the late Clyde Justice and Evelyn Candy Burnette. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Sam Watson.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Rains of Williamsburg, KY; two daughters, Mary Lynn Watson of Norris, TN, Shurrenda Morgan (David) of Greenwood, SC; one son, Don Watson (Janet) of Alpharetta, GA; four grandchildren, Stephanie Paolucci (Roberto), Kimberly Watson, Dr. Samuel Watson (Jill), Steven Richards; two great-grandchildren, Reid Watson, Cole Watson; one sister, Dianne Spurlock (Ted) of Dayton, OH; one brother, Ivan Gant (Sharon) of Corbin, KY; several niece and nephews and a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, at Ellison Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Cook officiating. Interment will be in Highland Park Cemetery Ellison Addition.
