Pittsburg Marine LLC will bring their Pittsburg Marine Open tournament back to Laurel Lake for the spring of 2025. The tournament will be held on Saturday (April 26) out of Grove Marina.
The mandatory pre-tournament meeting is on Friday (April 25) at Grove Marina, which is located at 3482 Grove Road, Corbin. The weigh in will also be held at Grove Marina.
Robbie Oliver of Pittsburg Marine LLC stated that Friday night at the pre-tournament meeting there will be complimentary food, drinks and door prizes along with a tournament rules meeting.
This tournament has a 5-year plan and hopefully should grow every year. It should bring a large crowd to Laurel Lake and the Corbin area with a huge payout of up to possibly as much as $12,500 for first place (depending on total number of entries and Ranger Cup/Triton Gold Contingencies). Oliver said that they are extremely excited to do the event with high hopes for the fifth year, having a multi-day event.
Fishermen can pre-register at Pittsburg Marine in person only now up until April 25. Fishermen may also register for the tournament on the evening of April 25 at the pre-tournament meeting. The entry fee per team is $100 and the tournament will pay one spot every 5 boats.

We can’t wait to see this tournament evolve into a multi-day event,” said Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission Director Nancy Conley.
