Redhounds improve to 4-0 with statement win over Pulaski

Date:

The Corbin Redhounds battled it out in week 4 with the Pulaski County Maroons, securing a 24-21 victory to remain unbeaten on the year.

Pulaski came to Corbin Friday night with a 3-0 record, including wins over Belfry and Wayne County. By handing the Maroons their first loss of the season, the Redhounds have proved beyond a doubt that they deserve to be in the conversation about current best teams in the state.

Now at 4-0 on the year, Corbin will try to keep their positive momentum going next week at Somerset. For more on that matchup, be sure to look inside the September 14 print edition of the News Journal.

In other coverage area football news, the Lynn Camp Wildcats’ recent struggles continued in week 4 as they fell to visiting Middlesboro, 57-0. The Cats, now 1-3, will travel to Jackson County next week.

Both Whitley County and Williamsburg were on bye this week.
