Rev. Kenneth Rains, 75, of East Highway 904, Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at his home.

He was born on April 14, 1942 in Gatliff, to the late Tom Rains and Eliza (Bryant) Rains.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Tim Rains and a great-grandchild, Jace Rains.

Kenneth loved his family and enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing music.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Joyce Rains of Williamsburg; five sons, Ernest Rains and wife Delvena of Somerset, Roger Rains and wife Paulette of Telford, TN, Thomas Rains of Williamsburg, Stanley Rains of Williamsburg, and Steven Rains and wife Denise of Williamsburg; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Rains and wife Loretta of Williamsburg; special friends, Gertie Chandler and Beulah Lawson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 16, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome McCullah officiating.

Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park.
