Shirley Louise Smallwood, 82, of Cowbell Lane, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Williamsburg Nursing Home and Rehab in Williamsburg.
She was born on November 21, 1934 in Williamsburg, to Paul Witt and Pauline (Nunley) Witt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Pauline Witt; and husband, Walter Smallwood.
She attended Emlyn Church of God.
She is survived by her brother, Matt Witt (wife Sandra) of Emlyn; three nieces, Christy Richardson (Russell) of Emlyn, Jennifer Calder (Mike) of Mt. Vernon, and Courtney Hayes (Rocky) of Emlyn; nephew, Edmund Hering of Danville; several great nieces and nephews, and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.
A graveside service was held Monday, October 30, at the Emlyn Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Long and Rev. Virgil Ball officiating.
She was laid to rest in the Emlyn Cemetery.
