Six arrested in jail contraband conspiracy case

Four Whitley County jail inmates, one inmate’s mother and another’s girlfriend are all facing drug trafficking and promoting contraband charges after deputy jailers found an extremely potent form of crystal methamphetamine, which is also known as “ice,” hidden in a package of diabetic medication that was intended for one of the inmates.
