(Correction: Due to a misprint, the original version of this story, which ran in the Jan. 17 print edition of the News Journal, incorrectly stated that Kentucky State Police were expected to charge Franzine Minchen with murder in connection with Curtis Lawson’s death, when it should have stated that state police expected to charge her son, Jeffery Cole, with murder. The News Journal apologizes for the error.)

A New York man, who allegedly stabbed a Siler man to death Monday afternoon and stabbed a Williamsburg tow truck driver early Tuesday evening, is now behind bars in the Whitley County Detention Center.

Whitley County Sheriff Colan Harrell said that Jeffery L. Cole, 27, was captured near Southside Carwash in Williamsburg shortly after 7 p.m., which is less than two hours after Tuesday’s stabbing incident.
