Taking a closer look at the new Corbin city budget

Date:

Those Corbin residents, who have been wishing that city sanitation department would supply them with those big garbage cans with wheels like seemingly everyone else uses rather than having to provide their own garbage cans that can be no bigger than 35 gallons, are in luck.

The City of Corbin has now budgeted $209,000 to purchase 3,500 new 95-gallon garbage cans, and one will be provided to each residential home in the Corbin city limits. In addition, the city is spending another $15,000 to purchase lifts for its garbage trucks in order to accommodate the new garbage cans.
