There were free pony rides and a free petting zoo from Hillview Stables. The Whitley County Cattlemen’s Association provided free ribeye sandwiches and hot dogs. Kona Ice provided free shaved ice and there were free door prize drawings and free T-shirts as Corbin’s Sav-rite Home Care celebrated its 30th anniversary Friday.

Friday’s event was about having the community come out to help celebrate the business, which celebrates 30 years in 2025. It was Sav-Rite’s way to thank the community for its support.

Sav-rite has moved locations three times over that 30-year period. The first two locations were on Master Street before they built their current location at 14141 N. US25E in Corbin in 2018 next to West Knox Pharmacy.

The 2018 move allowed the business to have more space, which includes a private mastectomy fitting sweet for breast cancer patients, a private diabetic shoe fitting room and a CPAP fitting room for those getting fitted for CPAP devices and masks.

Sav-Rite is open Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
