Vera Delois Grubb, age 80, of George Lane, Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. Vera was born on June 20, 1941 in Gausdale, Kentucky to the late Lorenzo and Rosa (Mowery) Hill. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of over 56 years, Odell Grubb; brother(s), Alfred Hill and Chester Hill; sister(s); Kathlene Hill and Mae Hill.

Vera was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her daughter, Rita Chinn (Barry Stopher) of Williamsburg; son, Randy Grubb (Stacey) of Corbin; five grandchildren, Kristin Prewitt (Tim), Branden Grubb (Casandra), Joshua Grubb (Mary), Makalyn Grubb and Jacob Richardson; seven great-grandchildren, Braylnn Spray, Keivan Mundy, Kiera Mundy, Makiah Heburn, Brooke Grubb, CeCe Prewitt and Piper Prewitt; four sisters, Melda Jones (Claude) of Corbin, Evelene Grubb (Arvele) of Dayton, Ohio, Lovella Lambdin (James) of Louisville and Faye Sears (Jack) of Gray, Kentucky; three brothers, Ray Hill of Louisville, Richard Hill (Rosalee) of Louisville, and Raymond Hill (Vickie) of Rockholds; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 26, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 27, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jamie Grubb officiating.

Following the service, she will be laid to rest in the Grubb Cemetery on George Lane in Barbourville, Kentucky.
